Kids@Play: Building a Smarter World is coming to the 2009 International CES, January 8-11, in Las Vegas, Nev. This summit, held at the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, is an unparalleled opportunity to meet with retailers, content providers, distributors, game developers, hardware manufacturers, educators, policy makers, and the thought leaders who drive the world that digital kids inhabit. Kids@Play is the successor to the popular Sandbox Summit held at the 2008 CES.
The Conference:
At last year’s summit, we heard from powerful speakers like Dr. Warren Buckleitner, Childrens Technology Review; Michelle Slatalla, NYTimes; Anastasia Goodstein, YPulse creator; Andrea Smith, ABC News; Alix Kennedy, Disney Publishing; Alice Cahn, Cartoon Network; Leigh Ann Brodsky, Nickelodeon; and Gary Knell (who brought Elmo along), Sesame Street Workshop. This year, we’re looking at another conference led by the most influential people in the kid’s technology business.
The Summit:
Last year, the summit showcased products and services from a wide spectrum of companies including IBM, Disney, WildPlanet, Mattel, Whattheythink.com, Tutor.com and The Princeton Review amongst others. This year you’ll get hands on time with the products kids love from virtual worlds, to digital toys, to educational products, handhelds and game machines. You’ll walk away with a great understanding of the daily life of a digital kid.
